Garden Center &
Landscaping Services
Beautify your property with landscaping services, plants, flowers, and accessories from our beautiful garden center in Huntersville, North Carolina. Established in 1995, Dearness Gardens occupies 3 acres on a rustic 1920s farmstead in the heart of downtown Huntersville. Dearness Gardens is locally owned and operated by Kenneth Forster. The business was originally opened with the intention of creating a destination garden center, and we think we have succeeded admirably!

When you visit, a friendly staff member will be glad to chat with you and help you find exactly what you're looking for. Make sure to look out for MYRTLE, our resident feline. She's known to walk around the nursery with our customers, and she'll be glad to keep you company while you enjoy the grounds. |

| Gorgeous Plants |
 |
We pride ourselves on carrying a variety of interesting and unusual plant materials. Japanese Maples and conifers are two of our many specialties.
|
In addition to unique plants, we have an impressive selection of popular shrubs, annuals, perennials, grasses, herbs, and roses. Don't forget to visit the tree field where you will find an excellent selection of balled & burlapped and container trees.
In keeping with the ever-changing plant trends, Dearness Gardens is carrying a great selection of NATIVE PLANTS. Plants that are native to our area are adapted to our soil and climate, and when planted correctly in a suitable location, tend to require less maintenance.
We also encourage the utilization of RAIN GARDENS, which is basically the planting of water tolerant perennials, trees, shrubs, and grasses in low areas of your landscape that tend to collect water. We carry a great selection of plants that can tolerate and even thrive on wet feet!
